Our Specialties
Anaesthesia
Anaesthesia has traditionally meant the condition of having sensation (including the feeling of pain) blocked or temporarily taken away. This enables our specialists to perform medical procedures painlessly for people in our care.
At Wakefield Hospital, our Consultant Anaesthetists provide services including sedation through to full anaesthesia during operations. They also provide comprehensive forms of pain relief that are specific to the procedure being performed and to each patient.
